S. Farrior Harden
Sue paints within a series of format, a single idea or theme being explored in numerous ways and variations, over a considerable period of time, using various media including watercolor, graphite, acrylic and oil.

Over the past fifteen years, her work has principally fallen within five series.  The "Mayanesque", series consists of abstract symbolic paintings inspired by travels in Yucatan.  The "Le Metro" series is her take on the other-wordliness of the Parisian subway.  The "Provence Portfolio" consists of ninety works, maintained "en plein air" in south of France during a six month stay.  In the "Defense d'Afficher" series, a photo-realistic style is employed to produce fragmented images of tattered posters on French and Sicilian walls.  The "On the Wall" series makes a graffiti-filled statement about contemporary Parisian street life.  Last but not least, Sue enjoys painting the beauty of the beach, marsh and maritime forest that are just outside her door on Amelia Island.

Sue's award-winning work has been included in numerous one person, two person and group exhibitions.
