Dante De Florio, Jr. 
Born in Brooklyn, NY, 1949.

Introduced to drawing and painting at age 13 by his father, Dante V. De Florio.

Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 1973.

Fellow member of The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works; Associate member of The International Institute for Historic and Artistic Works.  Currently residing in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Media preferred include bronze and marble sculpture, acrylics painting, oil painting, pencil drawing.

Because of his academic training, he considers himself a realist.  Whether it is still life, landscape or marine painting, the goal is to capture the effect of light that envelopes the subjects.

Exhibited at: The Salmagundi Club, NY; St. Hubert Geralda, Madison, NJ; Miniature Art Society of Florida, Clearwater, FL; Georgia Miniature Art Society, Atlanta, GA; New Jersey Miniature Art Society, Nutley, NJ; Berkshire Art Gallery, Great Barrington, MA; Waterwheel Art Enterprises, Inc, Fernandina Beach, FL.

Awards received: Best in Show (painting), New Jersey Miniature Art Society; First Place Award (painting) Ridgewood Art Institute; Second Place (sculpture), Miniature Art Society of Florida; Third Place (sculpture), Miniature Art Society of Georgia.

I am my worst critic.  My work is not finished until it is perfect!
