Gallery Reception : Thursday March 11th, 4 - 7 PM
Henry E. Von Genk, III, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where he still resides.
Henry is a self-taught artist who has mastered a realistic style true to his Dutch heritage.
Capturing the ocean and salt marshes of Florida, his work gives you a feeling of "having been there"
with his use of detail, delicate lighting and unforgettable sunsets.
His extraordinary detail and glazing techniques brings richness and depth that captures life's subtle nuances. Henry's romantic landscapes take you back to a time prior to mass urbanization.
Henry's art can be seen in collections world wide and is represented in many prestigious galleries throughout the southeast.
This show will feature the latest works from Henry Von Genk who is not what we call a "prolific" artist. He spends countless hours on each painting detailing the individual blades of grass and and the subtle "imperfections" of nature.
The work of Henry Von Genk III is highly collected by our clientele here at the Waterwheel Gallery and it's not uncommon to completely sell out. Please call for availability if you are interested in any of these art works.
